Practice Research on Ideological and Political Design of Public English Course in Higher Vocational Colleges

Abstract


The integration of ideological and political elements into English teaching in higher vocational colleges should be strengthened to strengthen the guiding role of classroom education. The word “ideology and politics” runs through the whole teaching process, which refl ects the school-running philosophy of “student-oriented” and “teaching and educating people, cultivating virtues and cultivating people”. At present, domestic higher vocational colleges generally adopt the teaching method of combining classroom teaching with ideological and political education, and add ideological and political elements and cultural connotation to the curriculum in Public English. Taking public English class as an example, this paper analyzes the positive effects of this method on improving students’ knowledge ability and cultivating good ideological and moral character and political accomplishment.
