Exploration on the Integration Strategy of Comprehensive English Teaching and Ideological and Political Education

Abstract


English is a public compulsory course in colleges and universities, which plays a very important role in China’s higher education. With the deepening of education reform, comprehensive English teaching is no longer limited to the cultivation of students’ English language knowledge and English application skills, but also includes guiding students to correctly understand the cultural differences between China and the West, and helping students to establish cultural self-confidence, political self-confidence and theoretical self-confi dence. In this case, the integration of comprehensive English teaching and ideological and political education has become an irreversible trend. This paper mainly analyzes the significance of the integration of comprehensive English teaching and ideological and political education, and explores the strategies of the integration of comprehensive English teaching and ideological and political education, so as to provide new ideas and methods for the efficient development of comprehensive English teaching and ideological and political education, and to provide a large number of excellent and high-quality talents for the society.
