A Study on the Curriculum System of Professional English from the Perspective of Curriculum Ideological Education -- Taking the Major of Water Transportation and Maritime Management as an Example

Abstract

In recent years, due to the rapid development of economic globalization, there has gradually emerged a phenomenon that many students are enthusiastic about Western culture. Therefore, it is very necessary to combine China’s excellent traditional culture, party ideology, socialist core values, and university professional courses to provide ideological education for students on campus. At the same time, in order to adapt to the new situation of the development of higher education, schools should respond to the needs of the country to meet the ideological and educational curriculum requirements of today’s society. This article first analyzes the meaning of curriculum ideological education, then expounds the necessity of combining curriculum ideological education with professional English courses, and analyzes the difficulties faced in the process of professional English teaching from the perspective of current curriculum ideological education. Finally, taking the specialized industry of waterway transportation and maritime management as an example, it analyzes how to create a complete “curriculum ideological education” system for reference.
