Research on the Application Strategies of Mind Map in English Reading Teaching in Senior High School

Abstract


English reading has always been the core of the high school classroom. The level of reading comprehension in the college entrance examination is gradually improving. Mind mapping is a visual image tool that stimulates human brain thinking through keywords, images, colors, symbols and other elements, and improves people’s memory and creativity. This study selected two classes in the second grade of Pingchang Middle School in Sichuan Province as the survey objects. This article fi rst analyzes the students’ preference for traditional English reading teaching methods, then analyzes the eff ects of mind mapping before and after the application of English reading, and fi nally analyzes the attitudes of students and teachers to mind mapping. The author discovered through research that the mind mapping strategy can improve students’ reading ability and grades.
