A Survey on the Status of English Major Student Teachers’ Classroom Teaching Techniques
Abstract
Classroom teaching techniques are important components of teachers’ professional competence and a powerful guarantee of effi cient English class. College student teachers are the future teachers and nurture the hope of improving education quality in China. The English major student teachers in H University are chosen as the research subjects to explore the status of classroom teaching techniques of student teachers who major in English. The questionnaire and the statistics of the survey explores nine main classroom teaching techniques and analyzes the present problems existing in English classroom teaching. Based on the research results, it provides some feasible and specifi c suggestions from the perspective of college teachers and students respectively to improve student teachers’ classroom teaching techniques.
