Application of Formative Evaluation in College English Teaching

Abstract


Formative evaluation is a very important task in English teaching.Compared with other evaluation methods,this method can more stimulate students’interest in English learning,improve their learning confi dence and motivation,and thus promote English learning.Firstly,this article introduces the basic connotation and advantages of formative evaluation,and discusses four issues that should be paid attention to when using formative evaluation in college English teaching,in order to provide reference for relevant personnel.
