Research on the Multimodal Teaching Mode of Ideological and Political Education in Comprehensive English Courses

Abstract


Ideological and political education in comprehensive English courses is an important part of cultivating students’ comprehensive development. In order to better implement ideological and political education, multimodal teaching methods should be valued. The multimodal teaching method enables students to receive ideological and political education in a comprehensive manner through various media and methods. This teaching method can include various forms such as text, pictures, audio, video, etc., allowing students to learn through diff erent senses. Therefore, multimodal teaching aims to provide a diverse learning environment to meet students’ diff erent learning needs. This article starts with the theoretical content of multimodality in vocational English teaching, analyzes the shortcomings of ideological and political education in vocational English courses, and explores the research on multimodal teaching of ideological and political education in comprehensive English courses for reference.
