The study of the difference between China and the west has started since the reform and opening-up. Some scholars hold negative attitudes towards China’s Wall Culture through comparison and suggest replacing the China’s traditional Wall Culture to adjust to globalization. This paper aims to compare the two types of Wall culture in a comprehensive, objective and dialectical way based on Karl Marx’s dialectical and historical materialism to make objective comments on China’s Wall Culture and to promote its innovation. In the thesis, the author first compares the two types of Wall Culture vertically and horizontally based on evolution of social patterns; then apply induction to summarize the pros and cons of them; fi nally make objective comments on China’s Wall Culture, hoping to raise people’s awareness of cultural innovation.
