A Study on the Infiltration Strategies of Cultural Background Knowledge in Higher Vocational English Teaching

At present, there are numerous problems in English teaching in our country, especially in the cultural background knowledge infi ltration in Higher Vocational English Teaching. Teachers pay attention to the cultivation of student’ exam-oriented ability, but ignore cultural teaching in Higher Vocational English Teaching. This thesis expounds the present situation of Higher Vocational English Teaching and the necessity of cultural background knowledge in Higher Vocational English Teaching. On this basis, this paper analyzes the strategies of applying cultural background knowledge to Higher Vocational English Teaching. The purpose of this paper is to achieve the goal of cultivating the students’ cultural consciousness and improving their comprehensive English ability.
