Current research on code-switching is limited to spoken language, advertising, and literature. This research analyses the phenomenon of Chinese-English code-switching in Cantonese pop songs in the field of sociolinguistics and adopts the quantitative approach to explore audiences' attitudes towards the phenomenon of code-switching in Cantopop, the reasons for their attitudes and relative social attributes. It is conducted by means of questionnaires. Based on the data collected, the majority of audiences take a positive attitude toward the Chinese-English code-switching in Cantopop, especially in young adults. Music popularity and rhythm sensations play a decisive role in the audience's choice of code-switching, while the level of education does not influence their choice too much. It is expected the trend of code-switching between Chinese and English will continue in Hong Kong.

In the post-MOOC era, the updated teaching beliefs is the key to promote and deepen the reform of college English blended teaching. This study, with the qualitative case study method, aims at investigating the differences between novice teachers and expert teachers regarding their beliefs in college English teaching, from three dimensions of views of language, views of language learning and views of language teaching. Also, this study gives an insight on the factors contributing to the differences of teaching beliefs, and the relationship between the college English teachers’ teaching beliefs and their teaching practices. The results show that the novice teachers and expert teachers have different teaching beliefs, which are affected by the environment, teachers’ learning experiences and their personalities. Despite the fact that the novice teachers’ teaching beliefs have been updated and improved after a certain of training, there remain some gaps between the novice teachers and expert teachers. As the core of teachers’ beliefs, teachers’ teaching beliefs are basically consistent with their practices, which will have a direct impact on their classroom teaching activities. Therefore, the novice teachers should reflect on their own teaching practices and renew their teaching beliefs constantly. Meanwhile, college English teachers’ training system should be established and strengthened, which will be beneficial to increase the teachers’ awareness in information technology and explore the innovative teaching modes and methods, so as to promote teachers’ professional development.

This research probes into the effect of input modes and learners’ English vocabulary levels on incidental vocabulary acquisition (IVA) with English major sophomores in West Anhui University as subjects based on Depth-of-Processing Hypothesis and Task-induced Involvement Load Hypothesis. The results indicate that the main effect of input modes is significant on IVA. Moreover, the English vocabulary level influences the effect. Students with higher vocabulary level can pay more attention to acquire more unfamiliar words than those with lower level. Furthermore, as to the two main factors, namely, vocabulary levels and input modes, there is no significant interactive influence of them on IVA.

The research shows that Haidilao does have a wide application of the pragmatics’ Politeness Principle, and it can be adjusted according to different situations to meet customers’ needs. Through the principles of linguistics, it is the embodiment of politeness in the Chinese service industry, showing respect and humanistic care to customers. It also has significant enlightenment for the future development of the catering industry direction from the linguistics perspective. Firstly, this work briefly introduces the content and development status of smart information education from the perspective of pedagogy. Secondly, the satisfaction of the students of a certain school in the teaching of the smart classroom is investigated through a questionnaire. The conclusion is that students have a high degree of acceptance of smart classrooms, and the total satisfaction rate and basic satisfaction rate have reached 92.02%. When the reason for students’ love of smart classrooms is investigated, the abundant teaching resources have become the most popular reason. Finally, the application value of the smart classroom is summarized and corresponding suggestions are put forward.

This paper reviews the legacy of Froebel through three areas, namely (1) Early childhood education status and role; (2)The importance of activities such as play and work in early childhood education; (3) The Gifts and Occupations. It further explores the important role that Froebel's legacy still plays in the field of education, using New Zealand as an example. Finally specific aspects of Froebel's influence are explored at the international level and at the national level (using New Zealand as an example). Reviewing the legacy of ideas left by Froebel will allow us to better move forward.
