The Chinese SEZs are one of the most iconic symbols of the reform and opening-up era and are the shining beacon of Chinese economic progress, particularly before China’s entry into WTO in 2001. This study is an analysis of the logic and trend behind the creation of SEZs and their economic impact before 2001. A better understanding of the logic behind SEZ’s success can benefit many economies aspiring for growth. This study’s methodology is based upon review and analysis of official government ff les and academic research. This study concludes that China’s initial Special Economic Zones were carefully selected to serve as laboratories for reform which attracted foreign investment and tested market-oriented policies. They were also very effective from a economic standpoint, as evident in their rapid growth and foreign investment. This success was built upon a unique combination of policy autonomy, great geography, abundant labor, government support, and compelling privileges for foreign investors.

To address the financial aid predicament faced by disadvantaged students in non-degree continuing education in higher vocational maritime colleges under the background of industry-education integration, this study aims to establish a precise and sustainable multi-dimensional collaborative financial aid system. The research adopts a method combining literature analysis and model construction. Firstly, it dissected the core challenges such as the coverage blind spots of the existing financial aid policies in the non-academic education field, the particularity of the student group, and the insufficient motivation of enterprises to participate in financial aid. The research results show that it is necessary to go beyond the traditional "blood transfusion" funding and establish a "four-party linkage" mechanism led by institutions of higher learning, deeply involved by enterprises, guided by government policies, and supplemented by social forces. This system takes the integration of "funding - skills - employment" as its core path. Through measures such as setting up special scholarships, providing paid practical positions, and implementing order-based training, it has achieved a transformation from economic assistance to a "blood-making" funding model that empowers careers. This system not only enhances the accuracy and effectiveness of the funding but also supplies a stable supply of skilled talents to the shipping industry, creating a mutually beneficial and virtuous ecosystem for education, industry and learners.

This article examines the humanistic education of international students in Binzhou Medical University in China, aiming to explore their perceptions of education quality and management. This study combines quantitative and qualitative approaches. Respondents provided their evaluations of humanities education across five key areas: teaching process, teaching competence maturity, course management, student services, and cultural exchange. The survey results show that while most respondents are generally satisff ed with student services and cultural exchange programs, concerns remain regarding the quality of teaching processes and teaching competence. Based on suggestions from respondents, discussions are to be held on how to improve course management and mature teaching methods to better meet the needs of international students.

The teaching of French as a second foreign language (L2 French) in Chinese universities faces persistent challenges of declining motivation and low efficiency. This study identifies a central paradox: classrooms implementing intensive formative assessment (e.g., unit quizzes, systematic review) exhibited significant score polarization, whereas comparison classes using summative assessment with “pre-exam scope delimitation” achieved superficially superior, tightly clustered grade distributions. Analysis of multi-cohort exam data and student interviews reveals that formative assessment produces a normal distribution reflecting true learning disparities, while summative practices generate a “pseudo-excellence distribution” that masks underlying competence gaps. Crucially, students who excelled in exam-oriented settings suffered severe “academic shock” under formative assessment, exposing the fragility of their prior knowledge. The paradox stems from a systemic clash between the “exam paradigm” and the “competence paradigm.” This study proposes reconstructing a “progressive teaching ecology” through scaffolding, renegotiated teacher-student contracts, and hybrid assessment models to enable a “soft landing” from knowledge transmission to competence cultivation.

With the continuous development of smart education technology, problems such as the lack of interaction and personalization in traditional college English teaching have become increasingly prominent. Exploring appropriate teaching strategies has become the key to improving teaching quality. Based on this, this paper takes the perspective of smart classrooms as the starting point and proposes four core teaching strategies, namely, relying on data to push stratified preview resources before class, using multimodal tools to enhance interaction during class, customizing personalized review tasks after class, and integrating cross-cultural resources to cultivate communication literacy, thereby improving students' classroom participation and comprehensive English application ability.

With the continuous deepening of educational reform across various domains, the application of big data in education has become a new challenge facing educational authorities. The vast amount of data generated by students through diverse learning methods, when mined and deeply analyzed, can effectively enhance learning approaches and improve learning efficiency. Against the backdrop of big-data-based teaching, and in light of the practical characteristics of physics education, this paper analyzes mobile learning, ubiquitous learning, and educational big data both domestically and internationally. It provides a detailed account of the methods and roles of big-data-based teaching in physics experiment instruction, as well as how to conduct data mining, implement educational reform measures, and establish evaluation mechanisms.

With the deepening advancement of China's basic education reform, the educational philosophy centred on core competencies has imposed new contemporary demands on aesthetic education within schools, emphasising its comprehensive integration across all subjects and throughout the entire educational process. The discipline of music, with its emotional, experiential and aesthetic characteristics, has become a vital vehicle for implementing aesthetic education. The classroom, as the primary arena for music instruction, bears the crucial responsibility of realising aesthetic education's functions.Employing case analysis as the primary methodology, this study examines representative primary school music teaching cases. Using the aesthetic evaluation dimensions of "harmony of the spirit, harmony of speech and action, harmony of demeanour, and harmony of interpersonal relations," it systematically explores practical pathways and implementation strategies for integrating aesthetic education within music classrooms. The research aims to construct a music classroom culture characterised by "harmonious beauty," providing practical references and theoretical insights for the deep integration of aesthetic education in primary schools within the core competencies framework.

The phrase “entering the theater” is often understood from the audience’s perspective—stepping into the theater to watch a performance by dancers. However, the analysis I intend to present today goes beyond the viewpoint of an audience member. Instead, it delves into the experience of a dancer “entering the theater” to perform in a dance drama, to understand an ethnic culture, and to refiect on how this ethnic dance drama influences both my personal growth and the future development of dance.

To address issues such as the disconnection between knowledge and practice, uneven tool application, and low collaboration efficiency in Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching integrated with Information Technology (IT) in high schools, this paper, based on the Wuxi Metro English promotional video PBL project, analyzes conflict types and causes, and designs coordination strategies—”reverse design to set goals, tiered guidance to improve adaptability, quantiff ed scoring to strengthen responsibility”—and verifies their effectiveness. The results show that the strategies effectively enhanced students’ knowledge application, tool utilization, and collaboration skills, with some promotional videos being broadcast on Wuxi Metro’s official platforms. The conclusion is that these coordination strategies are feasible and can contribute to constructing an interdisciplinary adaptation framework to promote the integration of PBL teaching across multiple subjects.

This study examines the current status of digital transformation mechanisms in Henan Province’s ethnic music education under the intangible cultural heritage perspective.

Alexander Wendt is a representative figure of constructivism in international relations theory and has made distinctive achievements in theoretical innovation. In 1999, Wendt published Social Theory of International Politics, which focuses on expounding the constructivist theory. In 2015, he published another book, Quantum Mind and Social Science: Unifying Physical and Social Ontology, further expanding the depth of his basic theoretical research and the breadth of his applied theoretical research. This paper intends to analyze Wendt’s two theoretical innovation methods separated by 20 years and draw relevant insights.

Social and economic development requires colleges and universities to cultivate comprehensive talents with a solid theoretical foundation and innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. For this reason, a new experimental teaching system of “one core, two wings, three orders, four integrations and five dimensions” has been constructed, and three supporting platforms for physics experimental teaching with different functions have been built accordingly. By providing students with diversified, practical and innovative learning experiences outside the traditional first classroom, such as the second classroom, online classroom and social classroom, the organic integration of the four classrooms can be realized. And through the construction of a five-dimensional platform for the integration of production, teaching, research and application, the scientific quality and innovative spirit of students are effectively cultivated.

This study examines existing challenges in university football training systems, including conceptual frameworks, methodologies, and support mechanisms. Through five analytical dimensions—training philosophy, content design, technological integration, support infrastructure, and evaluation systems—the research systematically proposes strategies for optimizing and innovating collegiate football training frameworks. The findings demonstrate that establishing a scientific, systematic, and institution-specific football training system holds signiff cant importance for enhancing both competitive performance and educational objectives in higher education institutions.

The rapid development of AI technology has restructured the production logic and talent demand of the environmental design industry. The traditional teaching paradigm centered on skill imparting is no longer able to meet the industry’s demands for intelligent literacy. This article focuses on the transformation of environmental design teaching paradigms in the AI era. Through theoretical analysis methods, it defines the composition and connotation of intelligent literacy, and proposes that it includes four dimensions: AI tool application literacy, data-driven design literacy, AI collaborative innovation literacy, and intelligent design ethics literacy. The four form an organic system of “basic support - core ability - bottom-line guarantee”. On this basis, a transformation strategy is constructed from four aspects: the curriculum system, the teaching staff ’s capabilities, the practical platform, and the school-enterprise collaboration. It emphasizes that the modularization of the curriculum should be precisely aligned with the dimension of literacy, the construction of the teaching staff should focus on the cultivation of “dual-qualified” capabilities, practical teaching should rely on real project scenarios, and the school-enterprise collaboration should be synchronized with teaching content.

This study aims to explore the profound impact of precise financial aid policies on the student group in higher vocational maritime colleges, which is an important talent reserve for future arduous industries. Upgrading the funding objective from a single economic relief to a diversified development support covering professional identity, psychological counseling and ability expansion can significantly enhance students' professional ideological stability and sense of belonging to the industry. By applying big data technology to identify students with potential academic and psychological dual difficulties and building a diversified financial aid model that integrates professional characteristics, precise financial aid not only effectively reduces the risk of student attriation during the training process, but also strengthens their job competence and long-term career development capabilities, thereby stably providing high-quality talents for the country's strategy of becoming a maritime power. The dual goals of educational equity and serving the national strategy have been achieved.

In response to the limitations of the traditional summative evaluation model, a blended evaluation model combining formative and summative evaluation was proposed based on the first aid technology course. By integrating the characteristics of the first aid technology course and constructing a full-process evaluation system covering before, during, and after class, a systematic evaluation model was designed. The effectiveness of this model was verified through a case study of a medical aesthetics technology major in a certain university. The results showed that the blended evaluation model was highly effective in enhancing students' comprehensive qualities and improving satisfaction from multiple dimensions.

Through VR, students can simulate the oil painting creation process in a virtual environment, experiencing every detail of painting techniques, which enhances their artistic expression’s flexibility and freedom. Moreover, the application of VR in oil painting education overcomes spatial and temporal limitations, offering a more personalized and interactive teaching approach. This paper aims to explore how virtual reality can be integrated into oil painting education, analyze its impact on teaching outcomes and students’ creative abilities, and discuss the future application prospects of VR technology in oil painting education.

The Chinese government attaches great importance to agricultural and rural development as well as increasing farmers’ incomes. Farmers’ income is sensitive to price fluctuation and yield of the crop. Income insurance is a financial instrument that China is exploring to safeguard farmers’ income, however, its performance has been less than satisfactory. There is an urgent need to identify the problems and optimize the problematic aspects of income insurance. The essence of income insurance lies in assessing the magnitude of income risk. However, in practice, the income insurance has not been successfully promoted nationwide. This suggests that the current model for income risk still faces unresolved issues.

With the implementation of the “Compulsory Education Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)”, competency-oriented education has become a crucial direction for physical education reform. This study focuses on junior high school taekwondo instruction, addressing the fragmented and technical tendencies in traditional teaching methods by establishing a structured unit-based teaching model centered on “etiquette cultivation, combat skills, and physical-mental conditioning”. Through an 18-class-hour teaching practice employing thematic and situational teaching approaches, the model organically integrates basic skills, tactical applications, competition rules, and health knowledge, promoting coordinated development of students ‘athletic abilities, healthy behaviors, and sports ethics. The practice demonstrates that this teaching model effectively enhances students’ learning interest and comprehensive competencies, providing a replicable implementation pathway for elective physical education courses in junior high schools.

This article reviews current research on the effects of oral corrective feedback (CF) timing in second language acquisition (SLA). Through analysis of key empirical studies, it is found that while both immediate and delayed CF facilitate language development, immediate feedback generally yields stronger benefits, particularly in the acquisition of explicit knowledge. The paper highlights the limitations in existing research and suggests future directions.

Amid integrated higher education and career development, argumentative courses fail to meet modern civil service competency needs and higher education’s “nurturing virtue and talent” goal due to rigid “exam-focused” models. Traditional courses have issues: imbalanced positioning, and disjointed curriculum. Reform strategies include:1) Precise objectives balancing exam skills and comprehensive literacy.2) Optimized content: a “realityoriented, project-driven, interdisciplinary” system with dynamic case libraries, simulated government projects, and cross-discipline modules. 3) Innovative teaching: 4-6 member groups and 2-3 annual mock civil service exams. 4) Improved curriculum chain: a “basic-professional-comprehensive” three-level structure, with regular teacher sessions and a “Course Synergy Manual” to avoid duplication/gaps. This transformation adapts to civil service exam shifts and explores higher education’s mission.

The study aims to provide actionable insights for universities seeking to establish a comprehensive “prevention–response–aftermath” emergency management framework.

The large-scale migration of rural populations to urban areas has resulted in the long-term separation of many minors from their parents, giving rise to the group known as Left-behind Children. Studies have demonstrated that due to insufficient emotional support, this population is prone to psychological challenges such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Traditional verbal counseling has limitations in helping children effectively express their inner feelings, thereby necessitating the exploration of new intervention approaches. Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT), as a nonverbal therapeutic modality that integrates bodily movement with psychological adjustment, provides children with a pathway for emotional externalization and self-construction. Drawing on existing literature and the psychological characteristics of left-behind children, this study proposes a group-based DMT intervention framework, focusing on its functions in emotional regulation, cognitive development, behavioral regulation, and interpersonal interaction. The paper argues that DMT not only enhances the psychological resilience and social adaptation of left-behind children but also offers a theoretical foundation and practical reference for psychological interventions among rural children.

Mental health education in higher vocational colleges is not only an important measure to ensure the harmonious development of students’ mind and body and to cultivate their professional psychological quality, but also a key link to improve the quality of education in higher vocational colleges. This paper proposes three major construction strategies through research: building a higher vocational orientation home-school psychological information sharing system, creating a career-oriented homeschool psychological co-education course module, and establishing a dynamic home-school psychological problem collaborative disposal mechanism. These strategies aim to improve the mental health education ecosystem in higher vocational colleges, enhance the relevance and effectiveness of education, and lay a solid psychological foundation for the growth and success of students.

The cooperation among industry, academia and research institutions in China is confronted with challenges such as unsmooth mechanisms, insufficient policy coordination and low transformation efficiency. This qualitative study explores the mental health challenges faced by digital media professionals in Southeast Asia in the post-COVID era, focusing on emotional burnout, social isolation, and coping mechanisms within hybrid work environments. Drawing on in-depth interviews with 20 professionals—including journalists, editors, content creators, and social media managers—the study uses a phenomenological approach to uncover lived experiences of remote work. Four key themes emerged: emotional exhaustion due to digital overload, diminished interpersonal connection, anxiety from constant online availability, and varied individual coping strategies. While some participants valued the flexibility of hybrid work, most expressed persistent psychological fatigue, disrupted boundaries between work and life, and dissatisfaction with superficial organizational wellness programs. The discussion reveals that post-pandemic burnout is not merely a personal challenge but a structural and cultural issue within digital media organizations. The study calls for holistic, proactive support systems that go beyond individual resilience and include mental health infrastructure, workload management, and team cohesion strategies. These findings off er timely implications for media organizations aiming to foster sustainable and psychologically supportive workplaces.

With the rapid development of the digital economy, digital transformation has become an important strategic fulcrum driving the high-quality development of vocational education. This article explores the evolution logic, practical predicaments and optimization paths of the integration of industry and education in vocational education under the background of digital transformation. Research shows that the integration of industry and education has evolved from the traditional single cooperation model to a multi-dimensional collaborative system empowered by digitalization. However, it still faces predicaments such as the formalization of school-enterprise cooperation, the fragmentation of digital infrastructure, and the insufficiency of digital capabilities of teachers. It is necessary to establish a long-term mechanism for collaboration among the government, schools and enterprises, improve the co-construction and sharing of digital infrastructure, set up a teacher training system, innovate the digital talent cultivation model, and promote the in-depth development of industry-education integration.

To further promote the innovation and reform of talent cultivation models in application-oriented universities in China,this paper takes the electronic engineering program at the City University of Hong Kong as the research object,systematically analyzes its advanced concepts and specific practices of talent cultivation model,and combines the actual situation of the electronic engineering program at the author’s institution to conduct an in-depth comparative study from multiple dimensions such as training goal positioning,credit structure design,and curriculum system architecture.By comprehensively comparing the similarities and differences in the construction of electronic engineering programs between the two universities,this paper extracts experiences and insights with practical reference significance,aiming to provide a reference for similar institutions to optimize their talent cultivation paths and improve the quality of application-oriented talent cultivation.

The digital transformation of education has driven the teaching model of higher education to shift from “offline dominance” to “integration of online and offline”. However, the current teaching evaluation of college students still faces problems such as “single evaluation dimension (emphasizing knowledge assessment), insufficient technological empowerment (relying on manual marking), lagging feedback (centralized evaluation at the end of the semester), and lack of subject collaboration (passive participation of students)”. It is difficult to meet the evaluation requirements of “ability-oriented, process-oriented and personalized” in digital teaching scenarios. This article, in line with the requirements of the “Opinions on Accelerating the Digitalization of Education”, focuses on the reform of teaching evaluation for college students. It constructs a reform path from four dimensions: “conceptual innovation, technological empowerment, dimensional expansion, and subject collaboration”, and proposes a threein-one institutional innovation system of “standard construction, data governance, and incentive guarantee”. Provide practical references for the reform of college students’ teaching evaluation in the digital transformation of education.

The usability of applying DET has many benefits in the nursing area, involving easy access,more dynamism,safety practice,interest improvement, etc., that positively impact both students and teachers [2] . From the overview of life, eugenics and prenatal care, pregnancy and postpartum care, growth and development of children, pediatric care, adolescent care, women’s care, elderly care to palliative care, measures for nursing, health care and welfare are provided according to difierent contents and stages. By analyzing teaching methods and practical effects, and integrating theoretical teaching with practical teaching, the well-being literacy of students can be effectively enhanced, and more high-quality nursing professionals can be cultivated for society.

Performance evaluation of teachers in higher vocational institutions is a key task for these schools, as it effectively promotes the professional growth of teaching staff and contributes to the high-quality development of the institutions. However, the current teacher performance evaluation system faces several practical dilemmas during implementation, including insufficient knowledge of the evaluation procedure, imperfect design of evaluation criteria, a singular evaluation body, and inadequate monitor and appeal mechanisms. By taking into account the unique characteristics of higher vocational institutions, as well as the diversity and complexity of teachers' work, this paper proposes several pathways to address these issues. These include clarifying the purpose of performance evaluation, constructing a diversified evaluation indicator system, implementing comprehensive evaluation methods, strengthening categorized and multilayered assessment, enforcing multi-lateral evaluation, enhancing supervising and rewarding mechanisms, and integrating annual performance evaluation with appointment-term performance evaluation.
