Oral English teaching is essential for cultivating junior high school students’ practical English communicative competence. Nevertheless, traditional teacher-dominated oral teaching relies on mechanical training, resulting in low student engagement and the prevalent “dumb English” problem in junior high school English classrooms [1]. Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), centered on situational and experiential learning, can effectively remedy the deficiencies of traditional teaching modes [2]. This paper explores the application value of TBLT in junior high school oral English classes, analyzes the current teaching dilemmas, and puts forward targeted optimization strategies covering task design, classroom interaction and teaching evaluation. The findings indicate that reasonable TBLT application can stimulate students’ learning initiative, build authentic communicative scenarios, and significantly improve students’ oral fluency and comprehensive language competence. This study aims to provide practical references for the reform and quality improvement of junior high school oral English teaching.

With the growing importance of aesthetic education in higher education, establishing a rational and efficient aesthetic education evaluation mechanism has become a core driver for advancing aesthetic education at universities to a higher developmental level. Although domestic universities have achieved initial progress in aesthetic education evaluation, they are still confronted with prominent challenges including utilitarian evaluation objectives, incomplete indicator frameworks, simplistic evaluation methods, and a narrow scope of participating subjects. These obstacles severely hinder the accurate assessment of aesthetic education outcomes and the improvement of students’ aesthetic competence. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a holistic, comprehensive and operable evaluation system for university aesthetic education to address the above defi ciencies.When designing evaluation indicators, the criteria must balance learning processes and final outcomes, mastery of theoretical knowledge and cultivation of inner emotions, technical training and comprehensive quality development. Accordingly, the evaluation scope should cover multiple dimensions such as teaching quality of aesthetic courses, implementation of extracurricular practical activities, construction of campus cultural environments, and the progressive growth of students’ aesthetic literacy.In terms of evaluation methods, a combined framework of quantitative statistical measurement and qualitative subjective assessment shall be adopted. The system shall integrate professional comments from instructors, students’ self-reflections, peer evaluations, and feedback from the public. Modern information technology tools shall be utilized to collect and analyze relevant data, so as to enhance the scientificity and eff ectiveness of evaluation work.From the perspectives of practical implementation and supporting guarantees, universities shall prioritize rational organizational structure design, strengthen professional training for teaching staff , optimize institutional mechanisms, and guarantee sufficient financial and material resources. Only in this way can the evaluation system operate smoothly and achieve iterative improvement. Ultimately, the system will facilitate the all-round advancement of students’ aesthetic capacity and humanistic accomplishment, and provide valuable practical references for the reform and development of aesthetic education in universities.

The introduction of the new curriculum standards for basic education marks the entry of English education into an era focused on core competencies. However, current knowledge instruction still faces widespread practical challenges such as fragmentation, teacher-centered approaches, and oversimplified evaluation methods, making it difficult to transform static knowledge into nourishment for developing students' core competencies. This study aims to explore effective pathways for cultivating core competencies in English education through knowledge instruction. First, the article clarifies the new connotations of knowledge instruction within the framework of core competencies and dialectically analyzes their interdependent relationship as mutual vehicles for enhancement. Subsequently, it systematically examines the practical difficulties encountered in knowledge instruction across three dimensions: content, process, and evaluation. Building on this, the study proposes a student-centered teaching model that integrates knowledge content through comprehensive unit-based instruction, fostering organic integration between knowledge delivery and competency development, thereby providing guidance for realizing the educational value of the English discipline.

The construction of new liberal arts promotes the integration of arts and sciences, as well as art and engineering. Traditional digital media technology curricula often suffer from a disconnect between art and technology, making it difficult to meet the needs of emerging industries such as digital twins and visualization. This paper analyzes the current state of the major and examines the prominent shortcomings of the existing curriculum system. It proposes a top-level design based on training objectives and an overall framework. Using digital twins and visualization as the integration carriers, it designs a layered curriculum cluster of art, technology, and interdisciplinary core courses. Additionally, this paper proposes implementation safeguard measures in terms of faculty, platforms, and evaluation, exploring a curriculum construction model that integrates art and technology, so as to provide a reference for curriculum reform in similar programs.

To address the problems of “one-size-fits-all” music teaching in primary schools and the difficulty in meeting students’ differentiated needs, this study focuses on the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and primary school music teaching, and explores the implementation path of personalized teaching. It establishes three basic guarantees: teaching hardware, teachers’ competence, and teaching resources. The core strategies are implemented through accurate diagnosis of students’ music literacy, personalized content recommendation, and real-time guidance and feedback. The optimization directions are clarified from three dimensions: evaluation system, application norms, and implementation path, providing feasible support for the practice of personalized music teaching in primary schools and helping improve teaching quality and students’ core music literacy.

Foreign Language Anxiety(FLA), Competence, and Learning Motivation are core variables in SLA psychological mechanism research. Their interaction affects learning outcomes and psychological development. Despite increased research on FLA’s moderating role following the “affective turn” in SLA, limitations in perspectives and inconsistencies in mechanism interpretation persist. This review systematically examines past-decade studies, clarifies core concepts and dimensions, analyzes moderating mechanisms, differences, and influencing factors, summarizes consensus and disagreements, and provides a reference for theory and practice.

Emerging artificial intelligence provides technical support for the transformation of Chinese-English translation models. This paper analyzes the empowering functions of generative artificial intelligence in Chinese-English translation from multiple dimensions, including translation efficiency improvement, translation quality optimization, complex text processing, and multi-version translation output. Combined with translation practice scenarios involving legal texts, Chinese run-on sentences, culture-loaded terms and stylistic adaptation, this paper sorts out the technical implementation paths and operational approaches of generative AI in translation. Generative artificial intelligence can reduce human translators’ workload, enhance the consistency of professional terminology, and boost the precision of cross-linguistic information transmission. This research offers practical references for the integration of translation technology and the efficiency upgrading of the translation industry.

This study of 243 Chinese and US college students investigates how COVID-19 policies impact mental health and social support. Findings reveal that strict lockdowns significantly exacerbate mental distress and reduce perceived social support compared to relaxed policies. Notably, social support fully mediates the relationship between control policies and psychological distress. Because lockdowns degrade crucial social safety nets, institutions must prioritize digital mental health interventions and socio-economic support to mitigate profound psychological harm among isolated youth.

Hemingway’s Iceberg Theory relies heavily on omission and subtext, yet traditional criticism often lacks a linguistic explanation for how implicit meaning is constructed. Drawing on Pragmatic Stylistics and Grice’s Cooperative Principle, this study analyzes conversational implicatures in Hills Like White Elephants. The analysis shows that the protagonists repeatedly flout conversational maxims, generating implicatures that reveal psychological tension and interpersonal conflict. These pragmatic deviations function as strategies of evasion through which the characters avoid emotional confrontation and moral responsibility. The study argues that pragmatic non-cooperation is a key mechanism through which Hemingway creates narrative depth and emotional ambiguity.

Based on the economic theory of marginal effects, this paper sorts out the inherent theoretical correlation between microrenewal and cultural and tourism space renovation, analyzes the characteristics of marginal effects in cultural and tourism spaces, and clarifies the laws of marginal increase and marginal decrease triggered by changes in renovation investment. Combined with the development logic of micro-renewal, it constructs an optimization path for marginal effects from three levels: identification of key touchpoints, dynamic iterative regulation, and multi-party collaborative benefit sharing, so as to promote the sustainable and high-quality renewal of cultural and tourism spaces and provide theoretical support for the renovation of domestic cultural and tourism public spaces.

Heinrich Schenker’s three-layer structure theory (foreground, midground, background) is a key methodology in Western tonal music analysis. With simplified reduction as its logical core, this theory strips away surface decorative elements of music layer by layer to reveal the underlying tonal structure. Chinese music features unique characteristics such as pentatonic mode, linear melody, non-functional harmony, and artistic conception expression, which create an adaptation barrier with Schenker’s theory. Based on a review of the core connotations of Schenker’s theory, this paper combines practices of Chinese instrumental and vocal works to analyze the theory’s compatibility and contradictions, and proposes principles and paths for localization adaptation to promote the organic integration of Chinese and Western music theories.

Under the background of rural revitalization and the integration of culture and tourism, the construction of cultural venues in ethnic areas generally falls into the misconception of superficial symbolic imitation - simply copying traditional forms such as the roof of the drum tower and the wind and rain bridge, but stripping offits spatial logic and literary connotation. In response to this failure in cultural translation, this article takes the aesthetic language of Dong architecture as the object of study. First, it deconstructs its four core dimensions: spatial logic, structural rhythm, material texture and social order; and then analyzes the crux of the current design practice. The research aims to provide a methodological reference for regional architecture in rural revitalization from “form borrowing” to “logical regeneration”, and to help the lively inheritance of national culture.

Based on an empirical study of Prison P, this paper systematically examines the multiple distinctive characteristics of these offenders in terms of identity, psychological behavior, and supervision. It reveals the resulting phenomenon of feigned compliance (pseudo-prosperity) and its underlying causes, and proposes a pathway toward an integrated system of management and correction. This approach aims to transform convicted officials from superficial compliance to genuine change, thereby consolidating the second-phase outcomes of the anti-corruption campaign.
