Section Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

With benefit from the era of artificial intelligence, the modern transportation technology has achieved blooming progress in recent years. As one of the representatives, the autonomous vehicle is considered as an iconic technology revolution of the automotive industry, which aims to persistently promote the traffic safety, commuting efficiency and travel comfortability. Despite the rapid development, the technology of autonomous vehicle is far from mature. Challenges still exist, such as perception uncertainty about adversarial environments or abnormal events, localization instability due to signal failures or weak references, prediction difficulty of complex object behaviors, design complexity of planning and control strategies.

This section is to present the new researches related to autonomous vehicle, involving the analysis of specified problems, the insights into improving existing technologies and the opportunities with the development of novel solutions.

Perspectives or ideas from different disciplines are welcome to be shared by contributing papers which include, but not limited to, the following topics:

Environment perception, Localization and mapping, Trajectory prediction and planning, Behavior decision and generation, Vehicle control, Communication, Sensor and actuator design, Driver and passenger protection, Simulation and evaluation tool, etc.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
