Section Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute to the Section “Hybrid infrastructures”.

The area of cities is limited. Hence, the transport infrastructure cannot occupy new and new areas all the time. For this reason, other solutions to the problem of the increasing number of trips made during the day should be sought. The improvement of the situation may take place e.g. by changing the modal split towards collective transport and shared services. Technological development, however, gives wider possibilities in the form of hybrid infrastructure. This part of the "Modern Transportation" magazine is about all solutions that enable and develop communication between infrastructure and vehicles. This is the place to describe the results of research in the field of solutions aimed at optimizing traffic control, improving throughput, reducing energy consumption, as well as reducing the emission of harmful substances. It is also a place for the results of research in the field of development of autonomous vehicles and their communication with infrastructure. Let's change the world for the better by developing hybrid infrastructure.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
