Dear Colleagues,
The coastal beach is a loose accumulation of sandy gravel sediment formed by the action of strong waves and currents on the coast. It is an important geomorphic and ecological unit in the coastal area, playing an important role in the socio-economic development and ecological civilization construction of the coastal area. With the increase of global extreme climate and rising sea levels, the rapid development of coastal economy and the continuous increase of population, the contradiction between coastal resources and environment is becoming increasingly prominent. According to statistics, 70% of global beaches are eroded, so global beaches face many problems, such as beach erosion, beach pollution, and beach management and so on. Therefore, exploring the morphological and structural changes of beaches under dynamic action, beach erosion and mechanisms under the influence of sea level and human activities, changes in beach ecological environment, sources and diffusion of beach pollutants, and comprehensive management strategies for beaches are of great significance for protecting and managing beaches. Welcome research articles and comments in this field.
