Based on the Shakespeare’s view of tragic fate, this paper mainly tries to analyze the causes of tragedy from three aspects—family contradiction, personalities of characters and feudal society. Through the full analysis, the paper finds out that various reasons are contributing to the tragic ending such as the two households’ resentment and rage, Paris’ love to Juliet, Romeo’s pursuit for idealistic love, Juliet’s insistence on free love, the old and patriarchal society and so on. At last, the conclusion is that at the very start of writing Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare would like to express his indignation to the feudal society and the patriarchal rules by telling the tragic fate of Romeo and Juliet, with which he also criticized the decadent and feudal system at that time.

People currently live in an educated society characterised by the principle of meritocracy. The use of HSTs to identify elites is a manifestation of meritocracy and neoliberalism. Using appropriate literature and studies from others, this essay critically analyses the impact of high-stakes tests (HSTs). The positive and negative implications of HSTs on schools, teachers, and young people are investigated. Moreover, this essays also discusses other topics related to this topic in depth and complexity, involving connections to other supporting government policies, such as the discussion of the impacts of performativity on schools and instructors. Despite the fact that many academics have conducted extensive study on the function of HST in the educational system, there are still several issues within this topic. Finally, this essay identified the limitations and recommends for additional study on this issue to enhance the educational system.

The great economic and social changes brought by social transformation have also changed the content and way of family education. However, in the period of social transformation, rural family education has been greatly affected and faced with a series of difficulties, such as parents do not pay attention to family education, the lack of content of rural family education, emphasizing achievement over personality, etc. development. This paper analyzes the current dilemmas faced by rural family education in the context of relevant studies and proposes countermeasures from four aspects: the state, society, education system and rural families themselves.

In order to evaluate and measure the health and sustainability of these higher education systems,we identified and quantified six indicatiors that affect the health status of the higher education system.After that,we established principal component analysis model (PCA) to reduce the dimension,and constructed multiple linear regression model to fit a regression equation so that we can evaluate the health of the higher education system.

In the process of English-Chinese consecutive interpreting, the target language should be fluent, concise and in line with the language expression habits. However, due to the influence of various factors, there will be a lot of redundancy, so that the time of the translation will exceed the time of the original text, which will affect the quality and efficiency of consecutive interpreting. This thesis is a case study of the mock conference of Ian Newton’s “Refugees under The COVID-19 Pandemic”, which analyzes the redundancy phenomenon in the case, studies the causes and relevant coping tactics, and provides the basis for interpreting practice, effectively avoiding the recurrence of this situation, presenting a more concise and clear translation language, and further improving the quality of interpreting.
