Dear Colleagues,

The global water cycle is mainly an ocean-atmosphere phenomena, yet most studies have focused on the much smaller terrestrial component. Further more, salinity plays an important role in climate variability in different basins, however the processes are still unclear. Numerical modeling also has a bias in salinity simulation. Recent research shows that salinity plays an important role in several regions, such as western Pacific Ocean, ITCZ and eastern Pacific Ocean. It can also be used as a new predictor in seasonal prediction globally. Thus, we are interested in the collective subjects in the framework of the role of salinity in climate variability, the simulation of salinity in numerical modeling, their processes and its prediction. For this, it is important to collect the research under this topic and their impacts. Research articles and reviews in this area of study are welcome.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.
