Since the reform and opening up, China has consistently adhered to an international strategy of “opening up to the outside world,”
especially after 2014, when China’s foreign direct investment (FDI) and outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) have been running neck
and neck. In this context, many enterprises have chosen to engage in bilateral investments with developed countries to gain more learning
opportunities from advanced economies, thereby achieving breakthroughs in their core technologies and promoting the construction of an
innovative country. Building on this, this article conducts an in-depth analysis of the mechanisms through which bilateral direct investment
promotes technological innovation, which are mainly manifested in the cross-border flow of knowledge and technology, the integration and
optimization of innovative resources, and the improvement of market and competitive environments. Corresponding development recommendations are then proposed.

As the two largest economies globally, the trade relationship between China and the United States holds crucial significance for the
world economy. This paper aims to comprehensively assess the impact and effectiveness of U.S. trade barriers on Sino-American trade, as
well as the combined effects of trade wars and tariffs on the global market. Analyzing using Porter’s Value Chain Model, Okun’s Law, Marshall’s Demand Curve, and Porter’s Five Forces Model, the paper highlights the influence of U.S. trade policies on the global supply chain,
unemployment rates in both China and the U.S., and companies seeking exports to the world market. The research reveals that U.S. tariff
barriers have led to a 1.05 percentage point increase in the U.S. unemployment rate, simultaneously causing a 0.7 percentage point increase
in China’s unemployment rate. Furthermore, trade wars and tariffs have negatively impacted the purchasing intentions of consumers in both
China and the U.S. By considering the multifaceted effects of trade barriers and tariffs, this study underscores the urgency of critically evaluating trade policies to better understand their intricate repercussions on the global market.

The combination of fintech and blockchain technology is reshaping the future of payment systems and financial services. Blockchain, as a decentralized ledger technology, provides the infrastructure for digital currencies and supports the operation of cryptocurrencies
such as Bitcoin. It not only promotes the development of digital currencies, but also promotes the application of smart contracts to automatically execute contract terms and improve the efficiency of financial transactions. Supply chain finance also realizes the transparency of capital flow and logistics information through the blockchain, shortening the settlement time. In payment systems, the application of blockchain
technology reduces the cost of cross-border payments, improves payment efficiency, and enhances the security of payment systems through
distributed ledgers. This technology has also facilitated innovations in the payments space, such as micropayments and instant payments,
bringing unprecedented convenience to consumers and businesses.

During the period 2017-2019, the UK food retail industry has faced many changes and challenges. The study aims to explore three
key influencing factors: sustainability challenges, the impact of Brexit on price wars, and technological advances. Using the PESTLE methodology to gain insight into the specific impact of these factors on the UK food retail industry, the study also found that the food retail industry has been continuously improving initiatives to reduce food waste and greenhouse gas emissions. Including government policy and other
relevant economic factors also play a role. At the same time, a price war among food retailers and technological developments have also hit
the industry. However, the study also presents difficulties in implementing sustainable development strategies and consumer insensitivity to
the price of sustainable products. Therefore, future research could explore more effective sustainability strategies and address the associated
constraints.
